Through her practice in Santa Monica; externships in New Orleans, Portland and San Francisco; and at volunteer clinics in inner-city Los Angeles and in Vietnam, Dr. Tristen Nguyen has treated and cared for thousands of patients. Dr. Nguyen practices full-scope dentistry. She has extensive experience in cosmetic procedures, and is comprehensively trained in oral surgery and TMJ/orofacial pain. She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. She always strives for perfection and strongly believes that excellence is achieved with harmony between function and beauty.
Dr. Nguyen completed her Bachelor of Sciences degree from UCLA, double-majoring in Neuroscience and Psychobiology. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at USC Dental School, ranking in the top 2% of her class. Dr. Nguyen graduated USC with OKU (National Dental Honor Society) Honors and was her class' only recipient of the prestigious 4th Year Scholars Award and Scholarship.
Dr. Nguyen insists on researching and keeping current on all the latest advances in both the technology and practice of dentistry. She is certified for Oral Conscious Sedation, which helps anxious patients to have a relaxing, "sleepy" dental appointment. Dr. Nguyen has provided Invisalign treatment to many patients to correct crowded teeth and to maintain a straight set of pearly whites.

I am married, mother of a 13-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl. We like to do family activities all the times. We love to travel at the end of the year, watch movies at home or visit amusement parks. When we are all together, we make the best of it.
Started dentistry as a receptionist, I put all my effort in learning and to be confident in necessary skills to get where I am now. I enjoy meeting patients everyday and treat them like I want to be treated. Making their first to last visits pleasant makes me feel good by the end of the day.
